Our Level III Rifle Plate is constructed of common composite armor materials include a combination of ceramics, aramid fibers (such as Kevlar), and other synthetic materials. The specific composition is solely intended for use of the armor. The goal is to create a lightweight and durable plate that can effectively stop a variety of ballistic threats, including rifle rounds.
Our current Level III 10” x 12” rifle plate weighs 2.5lbs and offers a curved design for added comfort while in use.
The Plate is 1 inch thick.
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) sets standards for body armor in the United States, including Level III. Level III armor is designed to provide protection against rifle threats, typically including 7.62mm NATO FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) ammunition.
